After the workshop yesterday, August 15, 2025, today we are still preparing to welcome everyone at the Hub of Knowledge in Orofacial Laserology booth.
In a short while, I will need to attend the certificate awarding ceremony from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), to express gratitude to Hub of Knowledge for participating in the MHESIFAIR.
Professor Dr. Supachai Patumnakool, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, will present the certificates and give a brief but impactful thank-you speech. He highlighted the important role of:
Both of these are integral components of the country's driving mechanism, connecting the academic sector to the service and industrial sectors, both public and private, as well as fostering international cooperation to create a strong and sustainable ecosystem.
What the Permanent Secretary said clearly demonstrates that academic knowledge becomes more valuable when it is part of a system that connects all sectors, aiming to develop the economy, society, and the quality of life of the people.
For Hub of Knowledge in Orofacial Laserology, being recognized as a "Hub" that is not confined to any single university allows for greater collaboration in a networked, open, and sincere manner. This is because knowledge is vast and cannot be limited to one institution.
The clear evidence of this, as mentioned by the Permanent Secretary, was seen in yesterday’s workshop, which included faculty members from the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, and other universities within our current network. This demonstrated that a central "Hub" can indeed break down barriers and create genuine networks.
In addition, officials from the Ministry of Industry attended, listened, and left their business cards, proposing collaboration to develop laser devices for use in Community Health Stations (CHS) to care for the elderly in local communities. This is a key opportunity for Thailand to create its own ecosystem. Foreign companies are not competitors in this regard since they do not produce lasers designed for such purposes. And today, we have both the knowledge, the transmission model, and the management system already in place.
This is another significant step showing that Hub of Knowledge in Orofacial Laserology is growing to become a national and regional (APD) center, both academically and in practical applications, for the improvement of people's quality of life-aligned with the mission of our proposal.
