Laser Dentistry Safety Standard, 2026 — Hub of Knowledge in Orofacial Laserology
The Laser Dentistry Safety Standard, 2026 was developed by the Hub of Knowledge in Orofacial Laserology, based on the laser dentistry safety standard of LDRG KKU, through a process involving 18 clinicians with experience in laser use for oral and maxillofacial applications. The draft was disseminated in three academic meetings and delivered to dentists and dental personnel, reaching a total of 301 practitioners. The standard then underwent external peer review by 10 experts, including experts in medical devices and laser dentistry from Thailand and international institutions.
The Laser Dentistry Safety Standard, 2026 is intended to serve as an academic reference and may also be adapted for use within health service units, in accordance with each organization’s context and operational requirements.
